Rustam Minnikhanov visits STEM-centre of the Alabuga Special Economic Zone

On March 25, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited STEM-centre of the Alabuga Special Economic Zone.

The STEM (name is derived from the abbreviation science, technologies, engineering, mathematics) was established at the Synergy industrial park and provides training for qualified specialists under the educational programmes of secondary vocational education in the dual system, aimed at meeting the needs of resident enterprises of the Alabuga SEZ for qualified human resources.

Training, based on the agreement on network interaction and cooperation of the Alabuga SEZ together with Yelabuga Polytechnic College is carried out in 4 areas, the most popular among residents of the Zone - laboratory chemical analysis, mechatronics, electrical engineering, automated control systems.

The centre is equipped with advanced high-tech training equipment, including KUKA robotic manipulators, a FESTO automatic control stand, a chemistry laboratory and Fotonim laser cutting machines.

Minnikhanov got acquainted with the educational equipment, including KUKA robotic manipulators and was informed about the principles of training and basic skills that students receive during the training.
